10th action of Axion Hellas in Ithaca

Axion Hellas carried out its first integrated action after the period of restrictive measures due to covid. In the previous period, it did not remain inactive, but offered services in the educational sector as well as donations from a distance.

At the end of October (27-31/10/2021), responding to an invitation from the Municipality of Ithaca, she returned with a full action on the Ionian island.

Eighty-seven (87) volunteers with doctors of seventeen (17) specialties examined 500 residents and performed almost one thousand (1000) medical operations. In addition, in collaboration with a donor company, they provided free hearing aids to 16 residents for a total value of 25,000 euros. Finally, Axion Hellas, recognizing the increased needs of the residents, donated an automatic external defibrillator to the Social Clinic of the Municipality of Ithaca.

The team of teachers completed a rich program of actions, in collaboration with three (3) Olympians and important institutions, leaving an imprint of organized support to the local community in the field of education and culture, always in close cooperation with the competent governmental bodies and respecting all measures of protection against Covid-19.
